Money Lost in Adsense

Can you loose money with Adwords? Sure! If your ads are not well targeted, you will get visitors who don’t buy your products.

Can you loose money with Adsense? Nope. Noway, Adsense is Google’s free advertising program that makes you earn money when visitors click on your website’s ads.

So.. How did I loose money with Adsense?

January has been a tough month for me with many of my sites being hacked.
I guess someone got hold of my FTP access and had the opportunity to put some codes / scripts in my pages which caused a loss in terms of adsense earnings.

I had to retrieve all my webpages and check them one by one. A time consuming task that I have sworn not let happen again any time soon.

I now have one ftp access code per website to limit any risk of intrusion by hackers.

This week, I got the following websites back online:

Money website
Jewels
Shoes
Footwear
Entreprise
Clothing
Vietnam
Recruitment
Travel 1
Travel 2
Travel 3
Travel 4
Jewels again!

The problem is that a website which is left unreadable for a couple of weeks is not coming back at the top of search engine results immediately, it has to be reintroduced to the public.

Not only are you not making money when your site is out of order, you are also missing out on traffic when the page is back until it gets back to good SE rankings.

As I said, 2011 has been tough on me. Don’t let this happen to you, only use computers with proper security systems.

To avoid trojan and other virus infecting your websites, make sure to protect your FTP access. I now use ESET smart security 4 and feel confident my online income is now protected.

Best Wishes for Year 2011

This first blog post is to wish you the best for 2011.

The beginning of a new year is traditionally a great time to reinvent yourself and improve the way you do business, I have therefore decided to concentrate your attention on the topic of self-development.

After a hell of a night yesterday Dec 31st, I had decided to leave the topic of money and success on the side for a little while and had decided to relax watching telly….

I ended up watching a documentary about an unpopular young singer named Stefani Germanotta.
You probably never heard about her but keep reading. It gets better and better.

Back in 2005, she had been around all the disc companies trying to get signed up for a contract. Difficult times that lasted for three years as none of them was interested in her.

She had it all wrong: Not very pretty, brunette, no sense of fashion, no charisma and a strange name that no one could remember.

Neither were the record companies interested in her music: Rock but nothing special.

What to do if you are not successful?
There is a good chance that you are doing everything wrong!

Are you ready to transform yourself?
If you are determined, you may go through what Stefani Germanotta went through: She changed everything she was.

What if tomorrow, no one could recognize you?
How this girl dresses, speaks and of course the way she sings became things of the past in less than 5 years.

Know what the market wants:
She used to sing rock and play piano because that’s what she liked. She moved into electro pop because she found out that it’s easier to make a living out of it.

Now, she is sexy, blonde, rich and popular. Stefani Germanotta is now known as Lady Gaga. And you too know her.

On this first of January 2011, I sincerely hope the story above will give you the mind power to change.
